Dr. Jacklyn Voelkl - Principal

My name is Jackie Voelkl, and I am so excited for the 2026 - 2027 school year and the opportunity to spend another year growing and learning together. This year marks my fifth year at John Weldon and 25th in education. In addition to my administrative experience, my tenure includes time teaching 2nd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade and kindergarten. Prior to starting my career, I obtained my undergraduate degree in elementary education from Saint Louis University and later obtained a master’s degree and doctoral degree in educational leadership from Maryville University.

In addition to my role as an educator, I am a proud wife to my husband of 24 years, Scott who currently serves as the building Principal at Saint Charles West High School and mom to my three children Lucy (20), Andrew (18) and Jackson (16), as well as our fur babies Auggie, our 8 year old golden retriever and Max, our 4 year old chocolate lab. Where there is free time to be found, I love cooking, reading, running, and visiting my soon to be two oldest kiddos at Mizzou.

I believe the relationships between families and school are vital to the success of our students and am eager to collaborate with all of the John Weldon families. I look forward to continuing to provide a rich learning environment guided with love and support as we embark on another successful school year!

Mallory Vorce - Assistant Principal

My name is Mallory Vorce, and I am thrilled to be continuing my role here at John Weldon Elementary as the Assistant Principal. This will be my 15th year in education. I started my career in North St. Louis at a charter school where I taught 2nd grade. Then, I moved to Francis Howell and spent ten years at Independence Elementary teaching both 1st and 3rd grades before coming over to John Weldon as an administrator. I have two master's degrees, one in educational leadership from Arkansas State University, and the other from Lindenwood University in elementary education.

I have been happily married to my husband, Brian, for 12 years. Brian is the Public Affairs Officer for Veterans Canteen Services in St. Louis. We also have two children. Our daughter, Vanessa, is 11 years old and is excited about 5th grade! She loves art, swimming, and traveling! Our son, Landon, is 9 years old and is in 4th grade. He loves anything to do with animals, baseball, and the outdoors! We also have a new rescue puppy named Oakley. He is new to our family and is keeping us all very busy! In my free time, you can find our family at Cardinals games, exploring St. Louis sites like the aquarium and the zoo, and at all of our kids' sporting events.

I love the strong sense of community and the relationships that make John Weldon such a special place. I believe that when our school, families, and community work together, our students thrive. I look forward to partnering with you to create a school where every child feels welcomed, supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential. I can't wait for another wonderful year as part of the Wolf Pack!
